Process
Each state delegation had the endorsement from their state supreme
court to develop draft sentencing guidelines during the three-day
program. On the last day of the workshop, each state presented their
guidelines to the entire workshop, receiving valuable peer feedback
and suggestions from the
other fifteen states, advisory committee members, and workshop speakers.
Deliverables
IPT&E met with advisory committees from sixteen states to assess
the needs of each delegation, and subsequently planned and presented
an integrated program of mini-workshops, keynote presentations, concurrent
sessions, and small group activities. IPT&E conducted a "train
the trainer" session for
all workshop speakers to help make each presentation as valuable and
interesting as possible. Delegation members attended all workshop
sessions and gathered information and materials to share with fellow
members.
